NOTICE OF DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS

All registered Democrats in the Town of Union, Connecticut are invited to attend a caucus for the purpose of endorsing candidates to the Union Democratic Town Committee.

This caucus will be held at the Town Office Building, 1043 Buckley Highway, on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.

NOTICE OF REPUBLICAN CAUCUS

Notice is hereby given that there will be a caucus of all enrolled Republican electors of the Town of Union, CT on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 7 pm in the Town Hall to endorse candidates for the Republican Town Committee.

If you are interested in becoming a member please come on that date.

TOWN OF UNION CONNECTICUT

Union was the last town to be settled east of the Connecticut River, largely because of its rough terrain and poor soil. In 1633, John Oldham, an adventurer from Massachusetts, obtained specimens of black lead or graphite from the Indians. During the Revolutionary War Governor Trumbull tapped this valuable resource for use at cannon foundries. On July 1, 1720 the General Assembly sold 12,500 acres to 12 proprietors for 307 pounds, comprising the area that is now Union.
