    UNION250 In 2026, the United States will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the country.  Everyone can be a part of the CT250 TOWN OF UNION celebration and events!   • Commemorative Medallions Available for Purchase ~ supplies are limited

    America’s 250th Anniversary Commemorative Medallion Union, CT The Union, CT, America’s 250th Anniversary Committee commissioned Commemorative Medallions to be made to memorialize America’s 250th Anniversary. “Hayes Pressed Glass” was commissioned to make the commemorative medallions. 100 Medallions were purchased by the Town of Union, 71 of which have been sold. Only 29 medallions remain in stock; 18 Blue, 9 Red, 2 Green.  Additional medallions will not be commissioned. Medallions can be purchased at Union Town Hall or the Union Library for $40 each.

    Energy Assistance- Income eligible households at risk of going without heat during the winter may apply for Connecticut Energy Assistance or the Contingency Heating Assistance Program. Programs provide deliverable fuel and also replace inoperable heating systems or repair, clean, tune and test systems.
