Selectmen’s Meeting March 4, 2019 Union, Connecticut
First Selectman Eaton called the meeting to order at 7: 34 p.m.
Attending: Selectmen – David D. Eaton, David Heck
Minutes from the February 19, 2019 meeting were read. First Selectman Eaton made a motion to accept the minutes as read; seconded by Selectman Heck. Vote was unanimous.
Bills were presented for review. Selectman Heck made the motion to pay the bills as presented; seconded by First Selectman Eaton. Vote was unanimous.
Correspondence: Thank you letter from The Last Green Valley for municipal support.
Woodstock Academy assessment increase breakdown for 2019-2020,
A $493 per student assessment for capital improvements is applied for two years;
A $507 per student tuition increase is assessed beginning 2019-2020.
The Board discussed the Board of Finance initial working budget for 2019-2020.
First Selectman Eaton met with a representative from ClearCom IT Services, to discuss possible management of Town IT systems. A representative of the company will meet with the Board of Selectmen when a plan and quote for the Town is prepared.
A Town Department Head meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 11.
The community HEARTSafe Designation presentation will be held on Monday, March 18 at 6:00 PM.
The LoCIP 2019 entitlement has been received in the amount of $16,676.
Motion to adjourn at 8:20 p.m. by First Selectman Eaton; seconded by Selectman Heck. Vote was unanimous.
