Selectmen’s Meeting December 21, 2020 Union, Connecticut
First Selectman Eaton called the meeting to order at 7:40 p.m.

Persons to be Heard: None
Minutes from the December 7, 2020 meeting were read. Selectman Huda made a motion to accept the minutes as presented; seconded by Selectman Heck. Vote was unanimous.
Bills were presented for review. Selectman Heck made the motion to pay the bills as presented. Motion seconded by Selectman Huda. Vote was unanimous
Correspondence: The Norcross Wildlife Foundation donation check in the amount of $2,500.00
Solicitation notice for town alert texting system.
The Town received a quote for ransomware insurance through CIRMA. It has been recommended by the Town insurance agent that the least-cost plan available be purchased for the balance of the current fiscal year, as prices are dramatically increasing for cyber coverage. The quote is for $1,650, which is not in the 2020-2021 budget.
SM Heck made a motion to initiate payment on the Ransomware Coverage quote. Option #2, on the quote provided by Insurance Provider Group, effective until 1/8/2021. Motion seconded by Selectman Huda. Vote was unanimous.
Executive Order 9R regarding the Covid-19 property tax low interest rate program was extended. Maintaining the same program does not require any further action, in Town or with State. The Tax Collector will include the information in the Town tax notices.
The Town was approved for $4,800 in Covid Relief Funding, to be invoiced by December 31, 2020. Acceptance of this funding has been certified by Treasurer. The Board discussed possible Covid-19 relief purchases.
Selectman Huda made a motion to add the repair of the well pump to the agenda. Motion seconded by First Selectman Eaton. Vote was unanimous.
The quote from Banner Water for replacement of town well pump is for $2,500. Selectman Heck made a motion to accept the proposal from Banner Water of $2,500 to replace the pump, pipe, and wiring, to be paid with the $2,500 donation from Norcross. Motion seconded by Selectman Huda. Vote was unanimous.
The Board expressed their appreciation to The Norcross Wildlife Foundation for their generous donation.
The Treasurer inquired about paying vendors online. It was determined that the Treasurer does have the authority to pay bills online, directly from the Town bank account. Invoices would continue to be presented at Board meetings for approval.
The Board reviewed and adjusted the Selectmen’s 2021-2022 Proposed Budget.
Motion to adjourn at 9:45 p.m. by Selectman Huda; seconded by Selectman Heck. Vote was unanimous.
