Union Transfer Station
Open twice a week, the Union Transfer Station accepts brush, bulky waste, household trash and the following recyclables materials; glass, plastic, cans, scrap metals, cardboard/paper, tires, batteries, antifreeze and motor oil.
A permit, available through the Selectman's Office, is required to use the transfer station. Please bring proof of residency in the form of a drivers license or vehicle registration (for permanent permits) or a utility bill (for temporary permits).
Leaves and grass clippings are not accepted. Hazardous materials must be brought to the Midneroc Chemical Waste Drop Off Facility (open the 3rd Saturday of every month from 8am to 4pm) at 57 Hancock Rd, Willington, CT 06279, Phone: (860) 684-3163
