The hearing was called to order by Board of Finance Chair Christopher Santucci at 7:00 pm. Members present: Christopher Santucci, Tim Vennart and Dennis Sienna. 
The minutes of the August 21, 2018 regular meeting were reviewed. A motion was made by Dennis Sienna to approve the minutes as read. Tim Vennart seconded the motion. The motion was carried. 
First Selectman Dave Eaton joined the meeting discussions.
The members discussed the 8/27/18 2017-2018 Final Revenue, Expenditure and Vendor History Report. A motion was made by Christopher Santucci to make the following budget adjustments to fiscal year 2017-18:   Increase account 1110212 Telephone by $534.33   Increase account 1110213 Probate Court by $78.00   Increase account 1131200 Tax Refund/Rebates by $3268.64   Increase account 2110120 Building Inspectors Salary by $3509.65   Increase account 3110400 Maintenance & Repair by $383.98   Increase account 3130400 Equipment Maintenance by $4183.72   Increase account 3150200 Weed Control/Drawdown by $4439.16   Increase account 4161201 Elderly Busing by $1368.69   Increase account 7130200 Town Hall Building by $23.87   Decrease account 3130120 Public Works Salary by $17,790.04. Dennis Sienna seconded the motion. The motion was carried.
The 9/10/18 2018-19 Revenue, Expenditure and Vendor History Report; Fraud, Risk Management, Internal Controls and Town Policies; 5 Year Planning; and the 8/20/18 EASTCONN Year to date budget report.
Resident Joan Eames presented some information concerning school budgets that she had researched. The members discussed the state fiscal problems and its impact on the Board of Education budget. 
A notice will be sent to all Town Officers, Boards and Committees to provide their submissions for the Annual Town Report for fiscal year 2017-18 to the Board of Finance by December 18, 2018.
A motion was made by Tim Vennart to adjourn at 8:05 pm. Dennis Sienna seconded the motion. The motion was carried
