PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
MINUTES NOVEMBER 3, 2021
The meeting November 3, 2021 was called to order at 7:30 PM by M. Silbermann
The Minutes of the October 20, 2021 were reviewed. B. Kapplan made a motion to approve, L. Fitzgerald seconded the motion. All were in favor, minutes approved.
Doug Teeson attended the meeting to inform everyone of the outcome of the vote on the Zone Overlay in Sturbridge for the Horse Park. It was defeated.
The newer Plan of Conservation and Development was discussed. A draft should be ready for the Commission’s review by early January.
M. Silbermann suggested that the Commission wait on reviewing the Zoning Regulations until the POCD is finished. All agreed.
Lincoln Gottier on Stickney Hill Rd. contact M. Silbermann questioning any requirements he would need to use his property for dirt bike racing. L. Fitzgerald indicated that he might need a Special Permit.
M. Silbermann was contacted by someone with questions regarding Boy Scout Camp.
A motion was made by B. Kapplan to pay the remaining $200 to NEDCCOG for their input on the POCD. This was seconded by J. Popovitch.
Correspondence was discussed. Notification of Timber Harvest on land owned by Norma Howlett on Stickney Hill Rd. was reviewed.
ZEO report – nothing to report at this time.
Approval letters from the Health Department were received by J. Pajak for property owned by Morris Lewis on Stickney Hill Rd and Thomas Flannery on Webster Rd.
B. Kapplan moved to adjourn, seconded by J. Popovitch. Meeting adjourned at 8:11 PM.
