Selectmen’s Meeting                                      October 5, 2020                      Union, Connecticut


 First Selectman Eaton called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m.


Attending:  Selectmen – David D. Eaton, David Heck, Mary Huda


Minutes from the September 21, 2020 meeting were read. Selectman Huda made a motion to accept the minutes as presented; seconded by Selectman Heck. Vote was unanimous.


Bills were presented for review.  Selectman Heck made the motion to pay the bills as presented. Motion seconded by Selectman Huda.  Vote was unanimous.


Correspondence:       Eastern Connecticut Conservation Commission Letter

                                    Check for $675.00 received from the sale of the Elderly/Disabled Bus

                                    State Police Report for September

                                    Email from Northeast District Department of Health


New Business:       


The State of Connecticut Phase 3 Reopening plan scheduled for October 8, 2020 was reviewed and discussed.


The question of opening up the Community Room was addressed. ‘In an abundance of caution,’ the Board will keep the Community Room closed. They will re-evaluate opening in the new year.



Old Business:


The NECCOG GIS contract will be signed by the Town of Union. First Selectman Eaton made a motion to pay the Northeastern Council of Governments invoice for the GIS contracted services for 2020-2021. Motion seconded by Selectman Heck. Selectman Huda abstained.


First Selectman Eaton had a meeting with Eversource regarding response after Storm Isaias.


Motion to adjourn at 8:28 p.m. by Selectman Huda; seconded by Selectman Heck. Vote was unanimous.
